What is the Statistics Box and how does it work?
The Statistics box is very important in DateandMate because it shows all the movement on your account. It automatically updates when you receive a new message, if someone said hi to you, added you to favourties, sent you a HolidayMate message, viewed your profile or rated your pictures. Each area within the statistics box is also a quick link that, when selected, will take you directly to that area within the site.

What is a Basic Search?
The basic search within the Home tab only allows you to search by sex, country and age.

How does the Advanced Search work?
The advanced search is very detailed, simply click on advanced search from within the sub menu under home or alternativley there is a link to advanced search in the basic search box. Once you have selected advanced search you have a choice of 2 different options, you can simply search by the first level which returns results based on a radius within the region and area you have selected or you can fill in information from both the basic criteria and detailed criteria to give you a more refined and detailed search result.

Can I save a save a search?
Yes of course you can save a search, but only from the advanced search tab. If you wish to save a search simply input the search criteria from the advanced search and tick the save search box, give your search a name and then select search now and your search will be saved. To access this saved search simply click on saved searches under the sub menu and select the specific search you want to resubmit.

If people are online can I check what country they are from?
Yes, if you select either women online or men online from the submenu this will give you a further filter for both age and country. You can see who is online from each country and by age group without having to invoke searches of your own.

What are blogs and how are they displayed?
Blogs are whatever you want them to be. After you have registered, you can add blogs at any time. Remember these blogs will be attached to your profile, if someone clicks on your profile they can select a button called friends and blogs, all your blogsare held on this page, pretty simple.

Can I remove people from my friends list?
Yes, click on friends from the sub menu under home and simply select the profiles you wish to delete and they will be deleted. This will also remove your profile from the other peoples friends list.

How do I know if I have new mail?
There are several ways you can check this, your statistics box will be updated from the home tab and you can click on the new total for messages if you have new mail. In addition, simply click on the messages tab and the new messages will be displayed in bold.

Can I be alerted at my personal mail address if someone has sent me a message?
Yes of course you can, you have to update your Email Settings to reflect this. Simply click on Email settings from either the sub menu under Messages or from the left hand side and select which options you want. If you simply wish to receive alerts when someone messages you then tick yes for the following option: “Send email when you receive new message”

How do I know if someone has sent me a HolidayMate message, a normal mail or said hi?
There is a field in the message box called type; this distinguishes the different type of messages that you can receive. It will always be set to All messages, you can select a certain type of message by simply selecting the message type you want to see from the Drop down list.

Some of my emails have been deleted, why?
Every day we clear down all sent/received emails that are 60 days old, so old messages get deleted on a daily basis.

Can I arrange my messages into folders?
Yes you can, simply select add new folder, type in a folder name and hit submit, a new folder will now be created. To move messages into a specific folder simply tick the message and select Move to and then select the folder, the message is automatically moved to that folder.

Can I block people from mailing me?
Yes, once someone emails you can you simply select add to block list from within the mail and this person is added to your blocklist. If you wish to unblock this person in future simply access your blocklist and select remove for that specific profile.

What is HolidayMate?
HolidayMate is an area where you can place travel blogs. Place a blog if you are travelling to a country and would like to meet some locals or, if you are based in a country and would like to meet people that are travelling to your home country. It is a very simple and useful tool for putting people in touch with each other while travelling.

How do I view the comments people have left from rating my picture?
It is very simple, from the statistics box click on your pictures rating and this will take you directly to your picture and any comments.

How do I know if someone has added me to his/her favourites or viewed my profile?
Again, it’s easy. There are 2 ways of doing this but the easiest is by checking the Statistics box and verifying if the new count is updated for added you to favourites or if someone has viewed your profile. The alternative method is to click on the favourites tab and select the sub menu options.

How do I change my password?
Simply click on the profile menu and click on the registration info tab, change the radio button to yes for change password, input the password and once more to verify, then press next and the password is saved.

How do I change the order of my photos or choose the main picture?
Simply click on the profile menu and select the free text photo menu and use the up and down buttons to move your pictures around. The top picture is used for your main profile shot.

How do I delete my profile?
To delete your profile please email us and we will delete it for you.

I clicked on forgot password and the password that was emailed to me is not the one I chose, why?
This is for security, once you log in using this password and you can then change it from the profile tab. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Can I upload nude pictures?
NO, you can’t! Nude pictures equals account deleted.
